The wish list is the mechanism at the centre of everything the Foundation does. The Houston Fire Department sets out the equipment it needs and cannot fund, and the Foundation raises against that list rather than against a general appeal.
The 2011 ledger shows what came of that year’s list, including inline pressure gauges, high-rise hose straps, forcible entry tools, bolt cutters and heavy duty high-rise bags, bought in quantities of ninety and more at a time.
