On October 23, 2023 the Fire Fighters Foundation of Houston welcomed guests to its annual fundraising extravaganza, held in support of the mission the Foundation has carried since 2006: providing life-saving equipment for the Houston Fire Department.
The evening was themed 175 Years Answering The Call, marking the length of the Houston Fire Department’s service to the city and giving guests the opportunity to show their support for the men and women who staff it.
Where the money goes.
Every dollar raised at the annual event flows into the Foundation’s equipment budget, and every purchase is logged publicly by vendor, date and line item. It is the same ledger that records the rescue boats used during Hurricane Harvey and the extractors now placed across the department.
